Click once on the + next to the Programs folder to expand it.

Now, you should see an explorer window. Click once on the + next to the Programs folder to expand it. |

| Now, we click on the folder which contains the icon that we wish to change. |

Now it is time to work with the actual icon that we want to change. To do this, right click on the icon that you want to change, and select Properties from the bottom of the menu. In this case, I am going to change the icon for the notepad program. |

Note: The last screen shot may look familiar. If you know how to use explorer to navigate through your hard drive, you can just right click any of your shortcuts within explorer and arrive at this point.
