Well, I finally stopped being lazy and put up a new wallpaper. Go check it out. This was another wallpaper provided by a reader of this site. I don't really have time to make wallpapers of my own anymore, so the only way new wallpapers get up is if you guys send them to me.

Well, the time has come. It is now up to you, the visitors of this site, to determine if this site lives or dies. I will be losing this web space soon and need to decide if I should keep this site going. As you all know, I haven't put a lot of time into this site lately, mostly because I was unsure of the site's future. So, I whipped up a little voting script so you guys can tell me what you want. In addition, I welcome any comments you may have via email . Multiple votes are being logged and will be ignored in the final count. I visit this site often, keep it going. I visit this site rarely, but keep it going. This site is terrible, take it down. I couldn't care less what happens. Update: I've decided to keep the site up and have disabled the poll. Thanks to those that voted.

New Kobe Bryant Site

I got an email asking to link to a new Kobe Bryant site. I'm trying to update more on this site, especially the homepage, so here is the link to kobebryant.org. When you are done looking at that site, come back and look at my Kobe stuff. If you have any adidas related stuff you would like to see put here on the homepage, send it to me and I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I can make this site something that you want to visit monthly, weekly, or even daily.

MCLiLbit@aol.com has told me that he knows an adidas rep and is able to get samples of new shoes before they are released. He promised me some pictures of them when he gets them. If I get them, I'll post them. In the mean time, if you just have to have a pair of shoes before everyone else, give him an email and work something out.

adidas.com has been stolen

I have been getting emails asking why www.adidas.com doesn't go to the adidas web site anymore. Well, I did some research and found that it was apparently stolen on April 10th, along with a bunch of other domains. Check out this discussion on Usenet about the incident and use Babelfish to translate it if you don't speak German. You can also see who owns adidas.com by using the Whois feature at Network Solutions. The German site [www.adidas.de] seems to be operating as normal. In addition, if you attempt to jump to adidas.com from adidas.de , you get the following message in a popup screen. Due to a major failure at Network Solutions Inc, the 1st level domain administrator for adidas.com, adidas websites may currently not be accessible depending on used Internet Service Provider. This temporary failure affects all adidas websites around the world. Immediate corrective action has been taken and work is already underway to reinstate the site but, for technical reasons, it can take between 48 to 72 hours before adidas.com and the other related adidas websites will be online again. So, it seems as though adidas is aware of the problem and are working to fix it. I would guess that adidas.com will be up again within a day or so.

If you are looking for the "Long Live Sport" adidas commercials, you can finally view them on the web. Just head over to the official adidas site and you can watch them all. These commericals include the fighting mascots, the runner with artifical legs, the swimmer shaving her head, and more.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

I didn't get a chance to see it, but apparently on 2-22-2000 there was a question about adidas on ABC's Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The questions was Which shoe company was named after its founder? Nike Puma Saucony Adidas The contestant didn't know the answer and proceeded to ask the audience. The majority of the audience said (C) Saucony. The contestant went with the audiences' answer and lost the game. The only help I can direct you to is a paper in the links section. If you do write a paper on adidas, please email it to me so I can post it for others to read.
