There is a new website up that is sort of a spy themed commercial for
Kobe Bryant and his new shoe. There are different episodes that will be
released over time. The first one is up. Go check it out at
www.assignmentkobe.com.

I've wanted to do this for a long time and that time is here.
Sadida.com now has a message board. Finally you can post messages
about products you are looking for and questions you may have for
school projects. That way, if I don't know the answer, maybe someone
else will. But the board isn't just for questions. Feel free to talk
about anything adidas related you want to.
There still may be some bugs to work out so please mail me if you find a
problem. Also, the look of the board may change over time, so don't be
surprised when that happens.
Go to the message board.

I know that some of you are probably tired of me posting information
about Kobe Bryant's new shoe, but I happen to like it, so here is some
more info :)
Kicksology.net wrote me to tell me about their review of "The Kobe". It
seems that they review basketball shoes and this is the first non-Nike
shoe they have reviewed. There are a bunch of new pictures and the review
is very complete. They seem to like it, so go check out
the review.
My favorite part of the article goes like this...
Call me a heretic, call me blasphemous, call me crazy,
call me Ishmael, but I'm calling The Kobe a better hoops shoe
than anything available from Jordan Brand today.

Larry wrote in to tell me about the new area on the
German adidas site detailing Kobe Bryant's
new shoe, "The Kobe". Unfortunately, for those who don't speak it, the site is all in German.
There is lots of cool stuff there. It shows how the shoe was designed with a car in mind
and even some concept pics. Also, here is a link to a site that has a
nifty 3d presentation of the new
shoe and the capability to BUY IT.
Larry brings up a good point:
I still haven't figured out why Germany
is getting his shoe before we do. The "we" here being the US. The US is where Kobe plays. It would
make sense that the shoe would get sold here first or at least at the same time.
I can't figure it out either. Anyone have an answer?
Update:
An english translation of the kobe site can be found at
Larry's website.

Sports Illustrated recently issued their guide to the Sydney Olympics. It had all sorts of
articles on the upcoming Olympic games. In it was a two page spread on the US Martial Arts team.
I happened to notice that they were all wearing adidas gear. I did some looking and found a
site that sells adidas martial arts equipment.
You can find them here.
And speaking of the US Olympic team. Adidas is the official outfitter for 5 US Olympic sports.
- Boxing
- Fencing
- Gymnastics
- Volleyball
- Weight Lifting
Does adidas sponsor any teams in the country you live in? Please let me know if they do so I can share
that information with everyone else.

Hpk wrote me to tell me about a site that sells lots of hard to find adidas shoes.
They even have the Tahiti and the Tobacco. Sorry, I don't read Japanese, so I can't
help you with translating the site. You can find the site here.

The adidas and music section has been updated.
It now includes pics of Jennifer Lopez, The Beastie
Boys, Bob Marley, Underworld, and Shirley Manson. Do you have any pics of your favorite music artist wearing
adidas products? If so, mail it in and I'll post it.

September wallpaper is up. This month is a tribute to
Korn when they were into adidas.
Korn used to sport adidas quite extensively.
Their lead singer was known to wear a sequined adidas jumpsuit

on many an
occasion. Korn even released a single entitled A.D.I.D.A.S. which, in the
song, stands for "All Day I Dream About Sex". Many people believe that this
is what adidas secretly stands for, but this is not true. For the story
behind the name, check the FAQ page. It seems that
Korn has moved on to puma now. They supposedly received a large sponsorship
contract from puma and left adidas in the dust.
Check the music page for another Korn pic.
